Searching

To search for items on this site, you can either use the quick search box that is available at the top of most listing screens, or you can use the advanced search feature by clicking on the "Search" link at the top of every screen.

Quick Search

For the quick search box, any text you enter will be searched for in the item title and optionally the item description if you have selected that option.  By default, all words you enter in the search box must appear in the item. If you wish to find items that contain any of the words then you should separate your word list with an "or".

For example:

• red car ..would find all auctions that contain both the words "red" and "car"
• red or car ..would find all the auctions that contain either of the words "red" or "car"

Advanced Search

For the advanced search, you have a number of search features you can use, such as finding items by the usual text search as well as category, price range, seller or bidder handles and the status of the auction. You may also combine any of the search features in order to narrow your search down further.

For example:

• You can find all auctions by a specific seller that are still active, listed within the "Computers" subcategory and within the price range of $100 to $500.
• You can find all items that you have bid on, sorted by price.
